Is Nikola free?
Yes. Joining, Discover, matching, and chat are free. Daily limits may apply on likes and undos so the community stays healthy.
Where does Nikola work?
Across all 28 districts of Malawi. You can prioritise your own district, people nearby, or browse more widely with filters.
What language is the app in?
Nikola is English only.
How do matches work?
You only chat after both people like each other. One-sided likes stay private. Super Likes stand out; you can also add a short note when you like someone.
What is the verified badge?
A ✓ means the member completed photo verification (selfie check) and was approved. It reduces fake profiles — it is not a background check.
Can I call matches?
Yes. After you match, you can start a voice or video call from the chat. Missed calls appear in the conversation. Grant camera and microphone access in your browser when asked.
How do I get help?
Open Settings → Help & support, send a message, then continue the conversation under Matches → Support. Our team replies there until the case is closed.
How do I stay safe?
Keep early chat in-app, never send money or airtime, meet in public, and tell a friend your plans. Use Report and Block anytime. See safety tips and the safety centre.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your profile, matches, and messages from primary systems (subject to legal retention).
I cannot log in or sign up
Use our contact form — add your details and describe the problem. We will reply by email or phone.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, use Forgot password with the email on your account. Check spam if the link is slow to arrive.
